Now that the election is over how will your life change?

As for me, I shall continue to smoke expensive cigars, drive an expensive car, live in an expensive townhome and run my business with 12% fewer employees. You see, at the end of the day nothing will change for me under Obamomics except laying off 12% of the wage earners who work for my business in order to offset Obama's tax increases. Now that the election is over how will your life change?
Well for me, it's actually going to be a bit nicer. In anticipation of this, I've decided to quit working and take early retirement. My business is for sale, and I have a buyer, earlier this year, I paid my mortgage off several years early and I will be starting the new year virtually debt free with the exception of every day living.

Long ago, I made a decision that I would not work to support those who don't. I'm sticking to that decision.

Shhh... don't tell the sheep facts they hate that.
My husband works in the coal industry and if Obama has his way, the price of our coal stock will take a hard dive, the company he works for will be even more regulated and may become bankrupt. Our taxes will go up and my daily dose of talk radio (i.e. Rush) will be shut down.
With me.....a new president is always scary. Especially during times of war. My husband is military and while yes, Obama is promising to pull 25% of the troops from Iraq...that may not necessarily be the right thing to do, or the smart thing. What about the 75% remaining troops over in Iraq? The people that continually riot and set off bombs, etc, will just see that as a good thing. They have 1/4 less soldiers to worry about defeating. We pull our troops, we may just make it easier or at the very least, more accessible to try to pull out all their guns and defeat us once and for all.

My biggest worry with both of the candidate parties this year was their priorities. Personally, if I were Sarah Palin and McCain came up to me and offered the VP slot, I would have turned him down, no questions asked. Her first priority should be her five children and especially her youngest child who is special needs. Also, having special needs children in my own family, I do not like her original stance of voting against assistance for special needs children....until of course, she was personally affected. Then all of a sudden, she rooting for assistance? That shows no compassion and understanding for others. But she definitely has her priorities out of whack if she was willing to be VP. VP means putting your family on the back burner. That is not something I as a mother would ever be able to do, especially with them being so young. IF the kids were all older, in college, out of the house.....ok. Go for it. By all means, run for whatever office you choose.

As for Obama....same goes for him. While I hate to admit that we do still have racial issues in our country, there are still some select groups of people who are crying out that the world is ending and looking for a way to get Obama out of the whitehouse...whether it be by legal means or by ';offing'; him. As a father to two young girls, he should have really considered the possible consequences of running. I am sure he did, but did he really take into account that if someone were to ';off'; him, that he very well might have his daughters with him? Did he consider that he is putting his daughters in danger as well as himself? Talk about putting career before family. If I was Michelle Obama, I would have stood up and demanded he wait until the daughters were older and on their own. They are going to face their own trials and tribulations throughout these next four years. My prayers are with them that they are just as brave and strong as their father.

I know in my own personal life.....every new president brings on fear of the unknown. All these candidates were promising to bring our soldiers home...when they weren't even fully informed on why our soldiers are over there. They weren't given access to everything regarding our troops, this war, and the current stance on it. They don't know half of what is going on over there and why we can't necessarily just bring the troops home at the drop of a hat. My primary concern is for my family. For my husband.
